About this deal

Unpack all the different surfaces from the included carry bag, pop the sturdy, removable legs onto the bottom of the stove, clip a Campingaz gas canister to the bottom and you're ready to go. At first glance, the Campingaz Party Grill look surprisingly small – but don't be fooled by its compact appearance. Start Gear Reviews Camping Gear Cooking Gear Stoves>Campingaz Party Grill 600 The Campingaz Party Grill 600 - An Alternative to the Cadac? Using and storing the Party Grill over a weekend of camping proved easy – it's perfect for smaller tents, campervans or for weekend camps where you're packing light. So, in addition to using it as a large hob, BBQ, and giant griddle, it gives you the option of having a gas oven when camping.

We connected the Party Grill to our Campingaz bottle (though you don't have to use it with Campingaz gas, of course) and started warming up the grill. Unfortunately, it does not have an adjustable thermostat, so users may need to monitor heat levels closely. We've had a brief look at the popular Cadac system before, and now there's an alternative: the Campingaz Party Grill. The wok lid is great for frying, and the stove top works well for holding a pot for boiling up water, but our stand-out favourite surfaces were the griddle and grill. The Party Grill is ideal for an informal evening BBQ – we cooked sausages and burgers for five people on the griddle and were impressed with how quickly they were done. If the canister has sufficient gas, remove the burner assembly and clean any potential blockages in the gas flow. The lid is easily removed by undoing three clips around the edge, and there are two handles attached that let it double as a wok (ideal for us Asian food lovers).

All the cooking components look and feel like good quality - the only thing that lets the Party Grills down are their plastic ignition cases, which looks and feels cheap, and the casing kept opening up slightly. If you do want something a bit roomier, a larger 600 version of the Party Grill is available and has taller legs, but is still pleasingly portable. Starting with the Party Grill 400, it runs on Campingaz R904, R907 or a standard butane or propane cylinder. It uses a Campingaz C470 plus gas canister which simply twists on and off, making this a quick and easy to use.The grill's construction ensures durability, with premium materials used to enhance reliability over time.

Just like the larger the party grill, you fill the inner bowl with water and this helps to keep it clean. The 470CV canister lasts up to 3 hours, we found the canister lasted quite a few trips, however we didn't use the Party Grill 400CV for boiling the kettle. The legs will bring the grill to stand at 42cm, which is a comfortable height to work at whilst sat on a camping chair, and the grill is 36cm - not a huge loss of space for cooking. We always recommend picking a camping stove with an integrated lighter – the Party Grill has a Piezo button lighter that means it's not a problem if you forget to pack matches, and makes lighting the grill the work of seconds. One clever little camping package that we'd recommend for festivals and camping and campervan weekenders. We already showed above how you can use camping gear to create a 'day camp' for a great picnic, but don't forget you can get the camping gear out at home too.
